Wenlock & Cressage Patient Group Representation
At Much Wenlock & Cressage Medical Practice we are proud to have a patient group who provide us with an insight to the views, thoughts and ideas of our patients.
The 'Patients’ Voice' has been established since November 2010. During this time they have supported the practice in a number of ways:
- Assistance in the revision of the Practice leaflet explaining the change to our open access service (Minor Ailments Clinic) to make it more understandable.
- Development of quick reference card for patients detailing the available services, (also available at both Practice sites)
- Development and production of a Patients’ Voice leaflet explaining the purpose of the group and inviting comments from patients.
- Presence at the Practice Display at the 2011 Wenlock Olympian Games
- Organisation of a Health Fair providing information on services to the wider patient population
The Patients’ Voice meets every 3 months in the evening at either Cressage or Much Wenlock Practice and currently has 9 members.
If you would like to be involved in the Patient Group contact the secretary, Mr Brian Nelson at email@example.com or contact the Practice on 01952 726011
Members of the patients’ group have experience of a range of medical conditions and situations and this knowledge is very valuable in helping us support specific needs; however they are also very proud of their role in bringing forward the views of all members of the community and support every patient to have their concerns and comments heard if they are asked to do so.

In addition to the Patients' Voice, the Practice also has associated with it the Much Wenlock and Cressage Practice Support Group. This registered charity consists of motivated and hardworking patients whose objective is to raise funds to purchase medical equipment or items that will directly benefit patients of the practice who attend either or both of the surgeries. The charity, in addition to fund raising events also receives donations or bequests.
The Much Wenlock & Cressage Practice Support Group has in the past paid for hydraulic couches; vaccine fridge, children's toy and bead tables and blood pressure monitors with the funding raised.
If you would like to contact the Group please ask at reception and your contact details will be passed on to the Group.
